A sports massage can be a benefit to anyone. We all at some point in our lives suffer from aches and pains, these can have occurred through different issues such as, strains, sprains, injury and RSI (repetitive strain injury). Anyone who is sat at a desk for long periods of time can benefit from a sports massage to help relieve those tight muscles that cause us pain from having a bad posture. Athletes have sports massage before and after participating in their chosen sport to help aid recovery and help prevent injuries.

An initial assessment will be booked, this is for us to get to know a little bit about you and your expectations, we will take your medical history and ask you to sign a consent form for the treatment to commence. This information will be confidential.

What should I wear for a sports massage?

This is dependant on the treatment that you require. We will need to be able to see and access the muscles that require working on so ideally wear something that can be easily removed or that can be moved up or out of the way. If working on the legs it may be worth bringing a pair of shorts.
